こんにちは！ I learnt that the short form of かわいいです is かわいい because it is an い-adjective and that the short form of きれいです should be きれいだ, since きれい is a な-adjective. But is it also correct to say just 'きれい', without the 'だ'? どうもありがとうございます。

In the last of sentence in polite style, as you know, い-adjective should be like かわいいです.
And な-adjective should be likeきれいです.
In the last of sentence in casual style, い-adjective should be likeかわいい.
And な- adjective basically should be like きれいだ. But in casual conversation, きれい is often used instead of きれいだ.
Casual style is not just a short form, but an expression that is not polite, so please be careful.
